Cameron had his wisdom teeth pulled??? Nope....

I know he is really smart, but it wasn't his wisdom teeth --- yet.

Cameron had been having some major tooth pain (thanks to our previous dentist who didn't get enough cavity out the first go around, Denise, you know all about that one, right?!?!) and so we thought he was going to need to have a baby root canal done. No biggie - he has had a couple already - but, when we got there, our Dentist (who is absolutely the best) referred us immediately to an Oral Surgeon! So, what was supposed to be just a minor partail baby root canal with our dentist, ended up being surgery!! He was all swollen because he had gotten an infection, and then an abscess. What craziness!! So, he had to have his molar pulled and we go in next week to have the spacer put in - to keep the space for his next molar and eventually his perm tooth. (sigh) When we brought the tooth home, Austin's first reaction was - WOW, that is huge, what are you T-Rex??!! Cameron was a superstar through the whole procedure - the surgeon wanted to start with just giving him a local (after he called our dentist and asked about how good he was in the chair) since he has a history of being the "model patient" in the chair. I was a little freaked out - but he did fabulous!! He just sat there and let them do their thing - it was funny because when they were about done, Cameron asked, "are you done yet??" - in the way of - "com' on, you have been workin' forever!" Which gave the doc a laugh - it was great.

The funny part of this whole thing - our new dentist (love him) is great. He is really young - and wears his hair all crazy spikey. The other day when we were getting ready to go to the dentist, Cameron said, "Mom, I want to wear my hair all spikey like Dr. Shikery because he is so nice and I want to be like him." So, what is the moral to that story??? When your dentist has an impact on your child, you know you are there WAY too often!! (well we have been on the 2x's per week plan since about November - ouchie on the budget!!)

So, the kids are all done - until June - so, brush brush brush - and hopefully we won't have another wave like this again! (especially for poor Cameron!)

I don't know how I feel about this one....

I am a HUGE "Twilight" fan!!!!! My friend Lisa got me hooked - I was adamant about not starting this series - because it was a series and I tend to get "slightly into" my books. She blogged about it, convinced me, and so I finally gave in. Because I had to read all 3 back to back, my children classified those next 6 days as "neglect" - but I say "deep-passionate-concentration" -- needless to say, I have very strong feelings about this....

I just read the press release about the guy they chose as "Edward" for the movie.... I don't know how I feel about their choice. I had the perfect Edward picked out - (marc menard - oh ya - or even jacob young) either would have been fine with me!! Their choice is definately not one I would have chosen, nor is he anything close to the "Edward" I had in my head. I wish they would have consulted me first (haha) - oh well - I had to watch the Harry Potter again just to see "their Edward" in action - thinking of Edward the entire time - just to see if I could see him as my most favorite character. I still don't know how I feel about this one my friends....

Barney Kids - age 4

here are the kids at age 4 -- super cute!

Fun Times....

Our quick trip to Utah was fabulous - quick - but fabulous. Here is a brief glimpse...

It started off extra awesome for Spencer - who got to sit in the pilot's seat - he LOVED that!!

We got to see and help take care of adorable baby Ethan...so cute!

and play with some of this other cousins...having so much fun with them, and making baby Kade laugh so hard! Brock loved playing with Spencer! But, he reminded me on the plane ride home, with tears in his eyes, that he didn't get to see Skylar or baby Kendall. I didn't know how that happened, but he was so sad about it. We realized he went to dinner with Grandpa and Uncle Mike when I went over to Paul & Tonii's - so he can't wait for next time!! Spencer loved playing tag with Hannah, helping Brock eat and brush his teeth - you know, all those fun things we miss living so far away :(

But, in his opinion, the best of all was riding in Uncle Jared's Dune Buggy

My favorite was helping Jen with the new baby (of course), seeing the family, and our GNI - Girls' Nite In - over at Paul & Tonii's - pj's, pancakes for dinner, and a (scary) look back at all of our yearbooks - played a couple games - and had a great time. I ended up with a laughing induced headache that a couple motrin couldn't even cure!! Super fun!! Yo-Ho - ha ha ha

I am going to Utah for a few days -- yeah! My sister (who is one of my most favorite people in the whole world) had their baby last night and I can't stand being away!! That picture is of him, isn't he so so cute!!

My awesome hubby is going to work from home until I get back - he is so great. And, huge thanks to everyone who is covering all my bases while I am gone (MAJOR shout out to you Amanda and Donna - now I really have no worries!)

So, off I go!! See you when I get back!!

Xbox and Church???

Super Funny Story happened today...I give church 100% credit for this one! We are always teaching them to "apply the scriptures to your life" Anyway, here is the story.

Cameron and Spencer were playing xbox - playing a game where they were a team, working together to save the princess. Cameron said (with slight desperation), "Spencer, I don't know what to do or where to go!!!" and Spencer said, calmly, "Cameron, follow me, and do the things which ye have seen me do" - ha ha ha - I started laughing so hard, and crying at the same time!

It was so sweet - and hilarious. That is totally "applying the scriptures to our daily lives"

By the way - that is their Pinewood Derby car - which they made with their Dad, but they did most of the work proudly by themselves!
